Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

  • Judging is conducted offline at the expo: judging groups visit each table for 3–5 minutes of demonstration and questions.
  • Projects are scored against five published criteria: User Need & Problem Understanding (20%), Creativity & Innovation (20%), Technical Completion (25%), Design & User Experience (20%), and Presentation & Communication (15%).
  • The organizing committee collects and verifies all score sheets, resolves ties, and confirms the final ranking. Judges' decisions are final.

Code of Conduct

All participants, mentors, judges, volunteers and guests are expected to treat each other with respect and help create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality or level of experience.

Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, disruption of talks or demos, inappropriate use of nudity or sexual content, and unwelcome sexual attention or contact will not be tolerated, whether in person or in event-related online channels. Be respectful of the venue, equipment and other people's work; do not disrupt the event or deliberately interfere with other teams.

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please contact a volunteer or organizing committee member immediately. Anyone asked to stop inappropriate behavior is expected to comply at once. Participants who violate this Code of Conduct may be disqualified, asked to leave the venue, or have their prizes withdrawn at the organizers' discretion.
